I used the remnants from this project and different bordeaux and butter colored elastics.
The ruffled ones are sooo cuuute!!!

I've finally cut the pink Lycra and got two pieces of underwear out of 70 cm of fabric - panties and racer back cami.
There are Lycra panties around with unfinished leg openings, without elastic, and I wanted to see if it works for the homemade ones. I finished my panties only with three step zig-zag and wore them for a day. They felt too loose, though. After washing them, I unpicked the seams and added picoted elastic.
Since I'm not buying Burda this month I treated myself with Ottobre design woman. There are a few really nice patterns in there.
One that grabbed my attention was the slip pattern. Yes, panties again! This style was deeper than the ones I usually make so I wanted to give it a try. AND I had in mind the perfect fabric! A nice piece of Lycra from the magic bags M gave me. I'm not really a pink person but this will make great underwear. I need some pink lace, though, to make my boyfriend faint, hehe.
Lately I decided to make muslins for everything I sew. Fabric scraps abound.
And here comes the final product! Super comfy panties with colored sequins and lace band. I made them even deeper than the original with the lace. They get to my waist and will be marvelous for winter. Absolutely a wearable muslin.
I might try some variations of the pattern before cutting the pink Lycra, don't you think? And I'm a pretty fast sewing girl. This was the second item for today!
