It's finished!

Bought the chain and a matching ribbon it was a matter of minutes to get it done.

I opted for the purse version after all. The reason is, as Emmy Jay noted - thanks for all the comments by the way! -  the possibility of spilling things due to the size of the side openings. If I want to make a wristlet  next time I will certainly add a zipper. And, of course, I should also use some batting or stiffer fabric to give more body to the bag. The interfacing I used proved not to be enough.

 

What do you think? I love it! We are going to the movies tonight and I'm bringing it along. There is just enough room for my wallet, phone and tissues. All you need for an evening out.

Red-blue bag

Another bag made of remnants. The flower is actually a brooch!

Balloon bag

Made out of bits, scraps and remnants. Love it a lot. Carry it a lot 'cause it makes me happy.

 

The bag and the outfit

At the Sunday market you can find many nice thing, like this little bag for instance. And the sandals were also a great find, for 50 kn!

 The problem was what to wear them with. I came up with this:

The whole outfit looked better with the accessories, not so plain like in this photo. The crocheted top is from the Sunday market, T-shirt recycled from my boyfriend's, and the balloon skirt is also self-made from some nice orange-gold taffeta.

Red yarn flower sqares

I saw this marvel of a bag  here , and wanted to try out the pattern. Amongst my yarn remnants there was this red cotton. Not much of it, but enough to get four nice flower squares.

They don't look like in the picture of the bag though. I like them anyway, and I'm wondering how I could use them. The bag is on the to-make-before-I-die list!

Any suggestions?
