One of my favorite ways of elongating a skirt is by adding a crocheted lace border. I love it. This technique is fun, easy and quick and the results are always great. No mistake.
This true vintage skirt was given to me by J. I loved to wear it so so much. I loved the fit and the fabric. And the little bunches of fruit print.I hope it makes someone else happy because I decided to donate it.
I made this one from a lovely piece of fabric printed to be made into a semi-circular skirt. I used a different but matching fabric for the waistband and added the crocheted border to get enough length. It stays with me.The woolen fabric remnant that became this skirt was given to me by my friend N. I still like it and I'm keeping this one, too.
Would you ever crochet a lace border on your skirt? It is a pretty girlie detail, isn't it? Would you like a quick tutorial?
I love that! Yes, I'd love a tutorial!
