I just love Paisley patterns, so when I saw this dress at the Sunday market - it had to be mine. In addition to that it is red and gold! Who would resist to the added sparkle?
The dress was from the 80's judging from the stile. Enormous, bell shaped, and the sleeves were long to the elbow.
After narrowing it a lot and making cap sleeves, this is the result:
I like the neck line a lot, the ruffles and the little buttons. I hope you can see them.
Unfortunately, the fabric keeps you too warm to be worn in summer, and the dress is too short to be worn without tights in autumn. I opted for the tunic-dress variation.
I can see the cute little buttons and
the outfit is adorable!! Like what you
did with the sleeves. I really like
paisly too!
Are you going to do something with the
leftover material from the sleeves? Can
you make a belt out of it or a headband
to match your outfit?
Have you ever checked out One Pretty Thing website?
She posts a lot of tutorials from different websites
and blogs. Some are refashions and others are different
things you can make.
If you haven't either look it up or click Flassie if
you are interested and I have a button to their website
on my list.
God Bless You and Yours!!!

Absolutely love this dress; the tunic length is perfect. What a great refashion.

What a great re-style! I absolutely love the look of a dress/tunic over pants. Nice work!
